Kothagattu
Kothagattu in Keshavapatnam Mandal lying to the southeast of Karimnagar is on the highway leading from Karimnagar to Warangal. It is very near to Huzurabad and can be reached by bus. The place is known for the temple of Matsyagirindra Swamy lying on the hillock with several steps from the main P.W.D.
road to reach it.
Matsyagirindra Swamy Temple
Lord Vishnu in the shape of Matsya or fish is carved on a big boulder lying in garbhagriha with a sixteen pillared mandapa before it. Beside this temple there is another temple of lord Narasimha with a garbhagriha and a sixteen pillared mandapa before it without any parapet wall. There is a koneru or holy tank on the hill, which reportedly never gets dried up.
