JAMMIKUNTA:
It was the taluk head quarter till 1913. It is now Mandel Head Quarter of Jammikunta
mandal, Centre for 60 villages and serving the needs of 5 Mandals. It had big Grain
and Cotton Market in the north Telangana Districts after Warangal Market.
Places To Visit in Jammikunta.

Ø VISWESWARSWAMY TEMPLE at Old Jammikunta, which was constructed 800 years ago. You will find single rockpiller (Dwagastanbam) of 15 feet.

Ø BOMMALA GUDI at jammikunta, built in early 1930’s with complete stones, in the heart of jammikunta.

Ø DUBBA MALLANNA TEMPLE besides FCI on Saidapur road attracts many devotees.

Ø BALAJI TEMPLE at Venkatadri nagar.

Ø AYAPPA SWANY TEMPLE at Ayappa nagar.

*An old fort built by kakatiyas of Warangal 700 years ago exists at Jammikunta.

MOLANGUR:
At a distance of 16 K.m from jammikunta. A hill fort constructed by oragiri moggaraju,
the subedar of the area and a subordinate of kakatiya dynasty by 1000 years ago.
This fort was constructed in such away that it occupies the summit of great isolated
granite hill. On the way to the top of the hill, an inscription in Pali language inscribed on
Ruler Rudrapratapdeva is extent even to this day. There are two ways to see the hill.
Malang shah vali Dargh is held in great esteem by Hindus and Muslims.

BIJGIR SHARIF:
At a distance of 6 k.m From Jammikunta. It was formerly the head quarters of a
local chieftain whose ruined fortifications can still be seen on a hillock.
Narasimha swamy temple is the centre of Hindu worship and
Ankos shah vali Dargh of Muslim reverence URS celebrated for four days
from 10th of ZILHAJ (April-may) every year attended by thousands of people.

ODELA:
At a distance of 16 K.m in Train and 20 K.m in Road way From Jammikunta.This place is considered to be scared on account of the Existence of the ancient temple of Mallikarjuna swamy. Mahashivaratri celebrations commence here from MAGHA BAHULA TRAYODASI (January-February) and continue till JYETH BAHULA SHUDDA TRAYODASI (May-June)
and during these four months thousands of devotees come from North Telangana Districts.

KOTHAKONDA:
At a distance of 35 k.m From Huzurabad and 48 k.m from Jammikunta. It is surrounded on
all sides by hills. On the hillock at the place, there are ruins of big fort with huge gate ways bearing beautiful architecture resembling that of the kakatiyas.There are five ponds on the top of spacious hill. Of these two are reported to contain water even under severe drought conditions. The temple of Veerabadra swamy at the foot of the hill is the place of worship and kalyanotsavam celebrated in honor of the deity for 10 days from PUSHYA BAHULA PANCHAMI attracts about 1,00,000 people.

ILLANTHAKUNTA:
At a distance of 3 k.m from Jammikunta. Sri SeethaRamachndra Swamy devastanam known as APARA BADRADRI in North Telangana Districts. On the occasion of Sri RamaNavami festival many devotees came from whole Telangana.It was the temple built by kakatiyas Warangal.

SHANIGARAM:
At a distance of 12 K.m from Jammikunta.Sri Jangam Mutt is the famous matt to visit there.
BORENAPALLY:
Incriptions belonging to 13th/14th century
UPPALPALLE:
Sculptures and Incriptions ruined Kakatiya Temple built 13th century.
KANDUGULA:
Sculptures.
