POWER SUPPLY IN KARIMNAGER DIST
In the year 1957,a power house constructed with three Generating sets of 12.5 M.W capacity each built at Ramagundam.But power supply was not started immediately as the setting up of substation and transmission lines could not be completed then .Further under the Master plan drawn up for development of the power in the Telangana region known as “Telangana Hydro Power Scheme”.
One double circuit of 66 K.V line from Ramgundam to Karimnagar and a single circuit of 66 K.V line Peddapalli to Jammikunta was erected .66 K.V substations at Karimnager, Peddapalli&Jammikunta were erected and commissioned during the period from 1959 to 1964.In the year 1967, a single circuit line of 33 K.V line erected from Karimnager to Husanabad.
